Introducing ... Committee 150!

How would you like to be on a committee with no meetings, minutes or minutiae?

We’d like to invite you to join Committee 150, and your only obligation is to have a party!

All summer long, all over Albany and throughout the Capital Region, people will be hosting parties to raise funds, to raise awareness, and to imagine the possibilities. We hope you’ll join us.

Begun in 1856 and designed by noted American architect Patrick Charles Keely, St. Joseph’s Church has graced Albany’s skyline for generations. Please help us celebrate the 150th anniversary of the building, and raise $150,000 to continue stabilization work.

Committee 150 will help meet the challenge issued in 2002 by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, which awarded a $300,000 matching grant to Historic Albany Foundation to stabilize the former St. Joseph’s Church, which was in danger of collapse.

With your help, we can meet our goal!
